Jean

Jean doing Tai ChiMy name is Jean, I am 74 year old.   I started Tai chi after Easter 2007.   The benefits obtained form Tai Chi I am now able to get from kneeling position to standing unaided and climbing into my daughters 4w drive instead of having to hold my knee up.  The knee exercises have helped this, also vacuuming the floor  – instead of and getting a sore back.  15 May 2008

Beverley Noonan

Beverley NoonanLooking at Beverley performing Tai Chi now, you can not tell she is the same Beverley as she started Tai Chi 22 month ago. It is not widely known, but some years ago, Beverley suffered severe injuries in a motor vehicle accident, including her neck, hips and knees, she was hardly moving around without pain. She has battled these injuries since and was undergoing regular physiotherapy. Since first coming to Tai Chi, she has not had to return to the physiotherapist, has regained much mobility in her joints and admits to having much less stress in her life. Beverley is a great ambassador for Tai Chi; She constantly strives to promote Tai Chi, to ensure that people can achieve the benefits of the art, things such as preventing and relieving many of the chronic diseases that afflict our society.

Elsa Kelly

Elsa Kelly - Tai Chi person of 2007My name is Elsa Kelly. For years I had been suffering from arthritis in my knee, shoulder and back. I felt like I had to do something, so my friend and I started to take Tai Chi classes.

After a while, the pain that I had previously felt slowly disappeared. I am now an instructor and I encourage all my friends who feel any arthritic pain to do Tai Chi.

I would like to thank Sue for her teachings, encouragement and support. The most important Tai Chi bring me confident in a happy living.

David Sanderson

David SandersonI am specialised in OHS. I have been doing Tai Chi with Sue for 6 years now, as I felt that Tai Chi really balanced my life for OHS purpose. I found Tai Chi is most relaxing, relieves tresses from the pace of modern living, it is a good exercise and meditation, it is most important, I like it. When performing Tai Chi, I find that I can mentally switch off and enter a state of deep relaxation and well being. It helped build up my leg muscles and peaceful mind. Sue is patient, explains principles and reasons why things need to be done, and always insists on doing things within your own limits.

Sylvia Aslandian

SilviaI am professional singer and have been a severe arthritis sufferer for many years. The pain in my low back had become agonising to a point that I could not turn in bed. I am only 33 years old and my doctors told me that there is no cure and I need to be on anti - inflammatory tablets for the rest of my life.

This is when I looked for an alternative and came across Tai Chi. After 6 months my pain has completely disappeared, and I am not on any medication - it is quite amazing!  Tai Chi has given me a different quality of life - relaxed, pain free, infused with calmness and inner happiness.  I go home energised after Tai Chi, feeling like I have experienced a wonderful body massage. The benefits are countless. I have reduced my stress (as a mother of two small children) and I enjoy the peaceful classes and socialising with the Tai Chi group of lovely people.

I wish to thank my inspiring teacher - Sue, who has introduced me to the art of Tai Chi, for her great patience, encouragement and support!  Thank you for bringing balance, health and beauty into my life!

Lorraine

Loraine doing Tai ChiLorraine has been practising Tai Chi with Sue at Dooley for about 12 months. She said: “I enjoy all the benefits as some thing you do to your own ability. It improved my balance, concentration and coordination and helps me to relax, toning up my body in a none strenuous way.

Tai Chi improves my life quality and well being. I am feeling I have a lot strength in me I can circling now for around 10km without feeling tiredness at all.
